Mommy's Day

Sunday was my first Mother's Day.... (well technically it was my second since I was pregnant last Mother's Day... but my first with our little Sailor in this beautiful world!) It was really nice! We went out to eat after church with Creg, Jennifer and Haven to the Humble City Cafe after first checking Red Lobster and being told that the wait would be about 2 to 2 1/2 hours!!! CRAZY!!! But the Humble City Cafe was very nice. It is owned by an older couple. The man walks around from table to table singing old hymns and patriotic songs, AND WHAT A POWERFUL VOICE HE HAS!!! He reminds me of my Grandad, who is now in the presence of our Lord :)

After a wonderful lunch Cameron packed up Sailor and I and headed to the MALL!!!We walked around and shopped for a while and he didn't complain ONE TIME!!! Cameron sent me on a shopping spree for my Mother's Day gift. I bought some MUCH NEEDED clothes!! After having Sailor none of my shirts fit anymore!! The BEST thing of all was being blessed enough to spend the day with my precious husband and daughter! There's not a day that goes by that I don't praise the Lord for allowing me to be Sailor's mommy!! It was a really fun day and I can't wait for the next Mother's Day!!

Best Friends Forever

These two little beauties are so much fun to watch when they play together. Haven is three months older so she kinda has to show Sailor the ropes!! They are both very talkative ladies and are going to get in alot of trouble together in a couple of years!!!

Close To Crawling

Photo Sharing - Upload Video - Video Sharing - Share Photos

Our little tooter is so close to crawling. She definitely knows how to scoot herself around on her tummy. There have been several times that I have walked in the other room just for a second only to return to a baby that has wiggled about 4 feet away from where I left her!!! We took this video of her trying to get her legs up under her. We'll have to be baby proofing everything really soon.... SHE'S VERY CLOSE!!!

Kelso & Kirby

Cameron and I have only talked about our daughter up till now.... we've forgotten to mention our sons!! We have two Yorkies. Kelso was my BABY before I had Sailor! He will be 5 at the end of July.He is 7lbs. and was born all black but over the years has turned almost completely grey. His DNA belongs to the canine family but if you ask him, he will most certainly disagree with you!! This dog does not know he's a dog!! He is a human as far as he is concerned. Kelso is very vocal and loves to talk to you. He's very finicky and fragile..... definitely a mama's boy. He hates being outside..... and if he were able to use a toilet it would be inside-all-the-time for him!!

Kirby on the other hand couldn't be any more DOG!!! He was 2 this past January and He too was born all black. He is now tan on his face and feet.He is 10lbs and LOVES being outside and getting dirty. He's not much of a lap dog.... he likes to do things on his own, live his own life. Don't get me wrong.... when he wants to be petted, it's all that matters in that moment. He will just PLOP down beside you and expect no less than ALL of your attention. But he hates being carried because he gets motion sick. He will bite your finger off for a mere crumb and he loves to drag Sailor's clothing (bibs, socks, onsies) into our entry way of our house!

We got Kirby 2 years ago so Kelso would have someone to play with.... they are GREAT brothers and the only time they aren't playing together is when they are sleeping. These little boys are such a joy to be around and are so much fun to watch!! VERY ENTERTAINING!!!

Sailor's Dedication

Today was Sailor's dedication at our church. It was a really big day for us!! Both my parents and Cameron's parents were able to join in the celebration. It was really special. We stood before the congregation and vowed to commit ourselves to seek to bring up Sailor in the nurture and knowledge of God and to use all the resources available to teach and lead her both to experience a personal relationship with Christ and to develop a Christ-like character. It is our prayer that we will be able to raise her in a strong Christian home. We hope that she sees our love and faith in our Lord and someday soon will come to have a personal relationship with our Savior, Jesus Christ.

"For this child I prayed, and the Lord has granted my petition which I asked of Him. So I also have dedicated [her] to the Lord, as long as [she] lives, [she] is dedicated to the Lord." 1 Samuel 1:27-28

High Chair Happiness

Some more new news.... Our little tooter has had another first!! Tonight was her first time to sit in a high chair!! We were at I-HOP and we decided to try and sit her in it. I'm not really sure when you should start putting your baby in a high chair but she's 5 months old and she's still pretty small for one. We had to put a big blanket around her and stayed on our tip-toes just incase she might fall over. She seemed to enjoy it alot better than sitting in her carseat.... but I'm not sure that we'll try it again anytime soon..... She just needs to grow a little more AND WE DON'T WANT TO RUSH THAT!!!

P.S. The picture quality isn't great because we had to use Cameron's phone.... sorry!
